There is no greater sport nor hobby to raise your kids on than martial arts. Why? The sky’s the limit with martial arts. . .
WHY YOUR KID SHOULD BE A MARTIAL ARTIST
As Chatri Sityodtong, founder of Evolve MMA and Harvard graduate, said: “Martial arts is the greatest platform to unleash human potential.”
As we all know, martial arts is a fantastic realm where you can train not just your body, but your mind as well. With the right curriculum and people around you, you develop not only your self-defense skills, but self-discipline, self-confidence, and much more.
This is why martial arts is so important for children. If you can instill these vital traits into children, they will grow up and, as Chatri says, unleash their human potential.
To see this unleashing of potential in action, let’s look at how Evolve MMA does it:
HERE’S HOW TO HELP CHILDREN UNLEASH THEIR GREATNESS!
UNLEASH POTENTIAL: DRILLING & HUMILITY
Martial arts has its obvious benefits: self-defense skills, discipline, confidence, etc. For now, I’d like to dive into two specific benefits.
One of the core principles of martial arts and all athletics is drilling. If you want to learn how to do something, you need to drill it.
The same is true of intellectual pursuits. If you want to learn how to apply a business principle, you need to use it again and again. If you want to build a mindset of discipline, you must drill it as well. That is how neuroplasticity works. It is often not one massive event that shapes you but what you do repeatedly over and over again that shapes you.
Another one of the core principles of martial arts is humility. Humilty is absolutely necessary in all things. If you think you know everything, you’re not going to learn anything. And if you want to unleash your potential, you need to be able to learn and learn and learn. Because the learning never stops.
Those are just two ideas in martial arts, but they are absolutely essential to life and essential to unleashing your full potential.
