My Week of Training Muay Thai in Toronto
A week training Muay Thai in Toronto was NOT long enough at all. Fortunately, I jam-packed my days with training and exploring the city so I was still able to experience a good chunk that Toronto had to offer.
After a day of training at Lin’s Martial Arts with a few of my Canadian friends, I made the trip out to Warrior Muay Thai to mix it up with coach Zubair Khan and his team of fighters. I knew Zubair from the fight scene here in NY and I’ve commentated one of his top fighters Amin Amelik at a Take On Productions show in Queens, NY. It was great seeing them again and we definitely got some good rounds in!
You can take a look at some of the sparring we did in the complete vlog below:
After getting some solid rounds with the guys at Warrior’s Muay Thai, it was time to move on to the next gym…. but first, I wanted to get a strength and conditioning session in with Geoff Girvtiz of Bang Fitness. Geoff put me through a moderate workout that pushed my cardio and helped develop some explosive power, especially in my legs. I’ll share with you the circuit that he had me do in the next video!
In addition to that, I’ll also be sharing the training footage from my session at Bazooka MMA & Kickboxing with GLORY champ Joseph Valtellini and pro fighter Troy Sheridan. Doing pad work with the champ was probably the highlight of my trip and the amount of knowledge he shared with me was insane.
Keep an eye out for the next vlog that will be released later in the week. Make sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel so you don’t miss a thing!
