Teep Defense – Catch and Jump Knee Counter Technique

Muay Thai Teep Defense – Jumping Knee Counter

By Damien Trainor of K-Star Legacy in the UK

The teep can be frustrating to defend, especially as a forward-moving, aggressive fighter. Having a foot jabbed into your gut is NOT a pleasant feeling and can easily disrupt your timing and momentum.

There are a few ways to defend the teep – parry and catch (click here for 3 other teep catch counters). This version of the teep counter involves a catch AND a jumping knee. Try it out and see if it’s something you can add to your game!

Every week there are NEW muay thai videos released on my Youtube channel. Make sure to keep checking back and subscribe to my channel for updates on new muay thai techniques, workouts, drills and combos!

Dig this teep counter? Comment below if you’re gonna give it a try! Also, make sure to share it with your training partners and instructors so you can try it out during your next training session.
