Sean Fagan's Muay Thai Private With Saenchai

WATCH THE MUAY THAI GUY MEET THE MUAY THAI GUY

By Evan Lee

Imagine getting coached by Michael Jordan in basketball or getting taught to swim by Michael Phelps.

Well, Sean Fagan got a pretty nice private lesson with their equivalents - one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time, Saenchai.

The man himself needs no introduction, but I will give him one anyway. Saenchai has an overall record of 299 wins, 42 losses, and 5 draws. He is a Lumpinee champion in four different divisions, and is widely considered to be the greatest active Muay Thai fighter on the planet.

He has also not lost since 2014 and is currently riding a 53-fight winning streak. He’s a beast. And you can see the beast in action with Sean Fagan right here:

HOW TO ANALYZE & FIGHT LIKE A FIGHTER

Sean was fortunate enough to train with Saenchai, however, most of us are decidedly not fortunate enough to be in a position like this. Luckily for us,...

Sean Fagan: Muay Thai Champion & Muay Thai Guy

LET'S GET INTIMATE WITH THE 'MUAY THAI GUY'

By Evan Lee

I don’t know if you know him, but there’s this fella called Sean Fagan, (also known as the 'Muay Thai Guy' and he's pretty cool.

He runs a pretty nifty site called The Muay Thai Guy...? Definitely recommend checking that out when you have the time...

Jokes aside, Sean went from a waiter at Red Lobster to an incredible entrepreneur who’s done it all, from fighting in Madison Square Garden and in Thailand, to building a giant library of online Muay Thai classes, to hosting the most beautiful Muay Thai vacations.

It has surely been an amazing journey with so many lessons learned, but why would you want to hear me talk about it? Why don’t you hear it from the man himself?!

Fight Lessons Are Life Lessons

SEAN "MUAY THAI GUY" FAGAN - A 'HUMANS OF FIGHTING' DOCUMENTARY

By Evan Lee

Sean Fagan has been on a journey to be a champion ever since he was a kid. It began with a simple desire to fight yet has become so much more.

This is no doubt an experience that you who are reading this may have experienced yourself. In fact, this is an experience those who pursue any subject will have gone through- be it basketball, photography, filmmaking, etc.

It becomes something more than what it was.

That's why it’s imperative that you listen to these desires and follow them. After all, what have you got to lose by just trying it out for a bit? It’s like asking someone out. What’s the big deal? Yes, you might get rejected and feel a bit embarrassed or you could find the love of your life (and you never know where that may be).

Sean followed his heart -- and it's made all the difference in his remarkable life:

WHAT FIGHTING TEACHES YOU ABOUT LIFE | Sean "Muay Thai Guy"...

The Muay Thai Guys Are BACK AGAIN!

THE MUAY THAI GUYS PODCAST: EPISODE #127

By Sean Fagan

Times are wild right now. For example, they're getting SO crazy that all types of animals are coming out and flooding out into the open. If you’ve seen that video of all the monkeys running out onto the road because there’s no tourists to feed them, you know what I’m talking about.

But even with all that craziness, Paul and I are here to try and help you find a silver lining and find a way to make sure that you’re still progressing towards your goals despite what’s happening. Times are tough, but you can be tougher!

If you can take advantage of this horrible situation and turn it into a positive, just think about all the problems in the future that you’ll be able to turn into a positive! If you can deal with this, you can deal with the rest.

With that being said, I hope that Paul and I are able to give you some good advice that you can apply to your life and help keep you strong...

Muay Thai Bodyweight Strength Workout

Body Weight Circuit to Build Full-Body Strength

From Muay Thai Guy

Body weight training is the best measure of your pound-for-pound strength.

Georges St. Pierre, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, uses Olympic weightlifting, track and field, and gymnastics to prepare for his fights.

St. Pierre and his legendary coach Firas Zihabi both believe that gymnasts are the strongest and best athletes in the world. And what weights do gymnasts use? Their bodies.

Today, Sean Fagan will show you a body weight workout designed to build full-body strength, just like a gymnast. And because you are only using your body weight, the difficulty of the exercises determines your pound-for-pound strength. The easier the exercise, the stronger you are, pound for pound. Now, let’s build that strength.

Supersets

Perform each exercise pair in back-to-back sets.

Set #1

  • 5 x 5 one-arm push-ups (or wide grip)
  • 10-second break
  • 5 x 5 fast, half-ROM explosive push-ups
