Reverse Culture Shock & Traveling Back Home From Thailand

The Muay Thai Guys Podcast – Episode 62

With another journey to Asia, we, the Muay Thai Guys, have now settled back in the United States. We’ve gained insight and perspective on our lives throughout our travels, and now that we’ve come back home, we are taking the time to dissect everything taht’s happened and figure out how to adjust to the reverse culture shock that we’ve both been dealing with.

Adjusting back to the Western lifestyle, philosophy, and the training regimen can be a difficult task, but it can also serve as an opportunity to create the perfect balance.

In this week’s episode Paul and I discuss some of the main points that come with the reverse culture shock:

  1. The time change, quick hack at adjusting back
  2. The lifestyle.
  3. The changes in views and opinions & the constants that stay as you are gone.
  4. The changes in training and freedom.
