Muay Thai Monday: What Key Techniques Should I Focus On?

If I Were To Focus On Only A Few Techniques, What Should They Be?

Muay Thai is a complex martial art with an infinite number of technique and striking variations to choose from. Since there are so many different Muay Thai techniques it can be difficult to figure out which ones to focus on during your training.

In this Muay Thai Monday Q&A, Nak Muay Nation member Chris Large asks about which key techniques he should focus on that will be the most effective and highest scoring in a fight. I share my input in this weeks video and the 4 techniques I feel that everyone should focus on, but I’d love to hear your thoughts as well!

Every week I release a new “Muay Thai Mondays Q&A Session” every week where I’ll be answering questions about techniques, fight strategy, mindset, nutrition and anything related to Muay Thai.

If you’d like your question(s) answered AND if you want to win a free Nak Muay Nation t-shirt or tanktop, submit your question by:

  1. Filming yourself asking the question. If it’s technique oriented, try to show me what you mean.
  2. Upload it and email it to sean (at)
  3. BOOM! That’s it!

If you enjoy this weekly segment be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel and let me know your thoughts, comments and any suggestions for future episodes in the comments below (or on the video itself).
