Best Female Kickboxer vs. Male Muay Thai Fighter… Who Wins?

Elite Female Kickboxer/Boxer vs. Good Muay Thai Fighter

There’s been lots of talk of female fighter vs. male fighters in the media recently — particularly Ronda Rousey vs. Floyd Mayweather. What would happen when one of the best female kickboxer & boxers in combat sport history face a decent male fighter?

How many actually did it? Well, here’s one — Lucia Rijker, one of the baddest ever in the history of female kickboxing and boxing. The Dutch Tyson, they called her… that and “The Most Dangerous Woman In The World.” Lucia faced off against Somchai Jaidee — a 13-1 male Muay Thai fighter.

You might recognize her from the sports science episode where she out power punched a male olympian. Or you might remember her as the villain from the box office hit “Million Dollar Baby.”

Under the tutelage of the famous Vos Gym in American and Wild Card in Los Angeles (Freddie Roach), she achieved multiple world titles in two combat sports — a feat few would accomplish in the striking world. What made her so unique? Well, her courage and heart is at full display in this fight. When she’s getting defeated it only makes her want to come back stronger. That’s the mark of a champion.

To find out more about Lucia, you can read her bio here, or you can watch the documentary on her called “Shadow Boxers.”

How do you think Ronda Rousey would’ve fared with Lucia Rijker in a fight?

Like Ronda, Lucia has a judo background, and she was a champion fencer as well. Today she is a motivational speaker and coach. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
